Somebody's Been
Using That Thing

If there's such a thing as a "standard" in jug band music, this tune is certainly one of them. Our heroes, the Hokum Boys, recorded it back in 1930, but the song was done by lots of folks, even country blues performers in the '30s and '40s, like Homer and Walter Callahan and Milton Browne and his Musical Brownies. This video was recorded in November 2009 at a benefit concert at the Renaissance Arts Center in Huntington, WV. And incidentally, that's Sweet Baby James hanging around Sam's knees -- James has kindly consented to help the Flood build some Kid Cred!
