Unchained Melody (1981)

Roger Samples has always had a thing for the zany music of Spike Jones, and in the earliest days of The Flood, he inspired -- some might say infected -- the rest of the guys with the same love for turning love songs into… well, let's say "romantic comedy." On this impromptu performance, recorded at a party in the autumn of 1981, Rog and Dave Peyton give the Spike Jones treatment to a once-lovely Righteous Brothers standard. Their bandmates Joe Dobbs and Charlie Bowen were pretty much innocent bystanders until drawn into the mix midway through the number.
