Flooding the Farm

This Saturday morning, The Flood will lend a hand (and a number of fingers) to the good works of Mike Perry and others at Heritage Farm Museum and Village, contributing a few hours of music and foolishness at the 13th annual Spring Festival. As always, the farm donates all proceeds from the day to charity.

At this point, we don't know exactly how many of the Floodsters will actually be on the porch, but we definitely will have a quorum. And a porch. Mike is reserving the Welcome Center porch for us from 10 a.m. til about 12:30 or thereabouts.

Mike originally wanted to know if we wanted to play instead in the village's historic log church, but Br'er Peyton wisely and respectfully declined on our behalf. Considering the weather forecast and, of course, the general nature of our material, there's just too great a risk of lightning strikes in that particular venue.

Michelle Walker, the Chick Singer, expects to join us for the morning. Also we'll have a guest appearance by fiddler Mike Smith, who's been a much welcomed regular at our Wednesday night jams these days.

So, if you're free on Saturday morning, come on around and help us flood the farm!
